Circular written by future Order members in May 1967

The storm over Sangharakshita’s dismissal from the English Sangha Trust continued to rage but there was strong support from those whose interest and inspiration for the Dharma had been kindled by Sangharakshita. For them ‘the future of Western Buddhism is exciting and full of challenge!’

‘Up at 7.30. Made tea. On radio news of outbreak of fighting between Israel and Egypt. Terry went out. Spent morning completing draft of statement of aims and objects of Friends of the Western Sangha.’
