Lecture Notes: ‘Buddhism and the Problem of Death’

Sangharakshita would write his lecture notes by hand. On display are his notes for ‘Buddhism and the Problem of Death’. This lecture, which he delivered in April at the College of Psychic Science, London, was particularly significant: it was the first lecture attended by Terry Delamare. Terry went on to become a crucial friend and their friendship was to have important consequences, not only for Sangharakshita’s own life but, as he later wrote, ‘for the future of British Buddhism’.
